Terms of Enrollment & Use

She Moves Forward Academy provides private, one-to-one instruction for girls ages 8–17, taught against written learning objectives. Every enrollment begins with a 30-minute enrollment call held with a parent or legal guardian.

This website is informational. Submitting the fit questionnaire asks the Academy to review whether an enrollment call may be useful; it does not guarantee a call, enroll your daughter, or commit you to anything. The Academy may decline any request, at its discretion, and will say so plainly.

The enrollment call is 30 minutes, costs nothing, and carries no obligation in either direction. It is held with a parent or legal guardian, by video call.

Enrollment calls are not recorded. Neither party records the call, and by joining you agree not to record it. If you want a record of what was discussed, ask — we will put it in writing.

Tuition is $1,799 for a twelve-week term of twelve private sessions. Sessions are held by phone or video call. There are twelve seats per term. A 50% deposit reserves your daughter's seat; the seat is confirmed when tuition is paid in full before week one, and her welcome packet is sent at that time. Until tuition is paid in full, the seat may be offered to another family.

Every family has a three-day cancellation policy: if you cancel within three days of paying the deposit, the deposit is returned in full. If you withdraw before the term begins, you receive a full refund. Once the term begins, tuition is non-refundable, because your daughter's seat is held for her alone for the full twelve weeks and is not resold.

A missed session may be rescheduled if you give at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Sessions missed without notice are not refunded or extended.

Private sessions are not recorded by the Academy, and students and parents may not record them. This protects the privacy of what your daughter says and writes in her sessions. Everything you need — her objectives, her progress, her journal — exists on paper and is available to you at any time.

The Academy provides instruction. We do not promise outcomes — grades, placements, relationships, or any change in how your daughter feels — because no honest instructor can. Progress depends on her, and we will tell you honestly what we are seeing, week by week.

Students are minors. A parent or legal guardian provides all information about the student, consents to her participation, and agrees to our Safeguarding Statement as part of enrollment.

Students and parents are expected to treat the instructor with respect. The Academy may end an enrollment, without refund, for conduct that is abusive, unsafe, or consistently disrupts the work. We will tell you why before we do it, whenever it is safe to do so.

What your daughter says in her sessions stays in her sessions. You may ask what she is working on at any time, and her journal is open to you. One exception: if we believe someone is at risk of harm, we will speak with you — her parent — first, immediately.

The curriculum, method, materials, patches, and website content belong to the Academy and are for your family’s personal use only. Your daughter’s own journal, writing, and work belong to her.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Academy’s total liability arising from enrollment is limited to the tuition paid for the current term. The Academy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

The Academy may update these terms. If a change affects a term your daughter is enrolled in, you will be told before it applies to her.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA.
